Cervical Stabilization Exercise Programs

Presented by: Carol Kennedy-BScPT, MCISc, FCAMT & Chief Examiner Orthopaedic Division

Date: June 2, 2012 8:00 am – 4 pm

Location: Adelaide West Physiotherapy, Toronto On

Price: $250 + HST (cash, cheque, debit, visa, mastercard)

Course description:

The use of specific therapeutic exercise as an adjunct to manual therapy treatment is a major emphasis of evidence-based physiotherapy.  It can be a challenge to develop the appropriate exercise program for the patient with cervical dysfunction, attempting to address the many factors involved, and yet not to overload or irritate the neck.  One of the more common uses of exercise for the cervical spine is to regain dynamic stability and/or motor control.

This course will focus on the use of exercise in the treatment of the patient with cervical spine dysfunction, specifically the impairment of muscle performance and dynamic stability. Exercises to address this will be discussed, demonstrated and practiced.   Exercise program design will be summarized through the use of a case history demonstration.

For more information or to register, please contact Kathy or Courtney.  Spaces are limited.
