Dax Wilcox, NASM-CPT | NKT (Levels 1 & 2) | CHEK Exercise Coach & Holistic Lifestyle Coach

Personal Trainer & Exercise Coach | Strength, Movement & Long-Term Resilience

Dax is an exercise and lifestyle coach with more than 25 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, specializing in strength training, movement quality, mobility, and long-term resilience. Over the course of his career, he has worked across private coaching, multidisciplinary clinical environments, and performance-focused facilities throughout Toronto — developing a uniquely integrated perspective on how exercise, rehabilitation, and lifestyle intersect to support lasting health.

Dax holds a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) designation and has pursued an extensive continuing education path that sets him apart from conventional personal trainers. His advanced training includes NeuroKinetic Therapy (Levels 1 & 2), Z-Health Performance (R-Phase), the Immaculate Dissection Series, and CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coaching and Exercise Coaching — a comprehensive suite of qualifications focused on movement neurology, biomechanics, and the relationship between lifestyle and physical function. He continues to develop his skills through ongoing mentorships in biomechanics, movement systems, and clinical communication.

Dax works with a wide range of clients, including:

  • Active adults and busy professionals managing the physical demands of demanding careers and daily life
  • Recreational athletes looking to improve performance, durability, and longevity
  • Individuals dealing with persistent aches, movement limitations, postural adaptations, or recurring injuries
  • Clients transitioning out of physiotherapy or rehabilitation who want to build on their progress and maintain long-term gains

What Dax Can Help You With

Dax’s coaching addresses a broad spectrum of goals and needs, including:

  • Reducing pain and stiffness
  • Improving mobility, coordination, and movement quality
  • Building functional strength and physical resilience
  • Increasing energy, confidence, and consistency
  • Developing sustainable habits that support long-term health and quality of life

Dax’s Approach to Coaching

Dax’s philosophy is straightforward: sustainable practices, tailored to real life, create meaningful long-term change. Rather than applying a rigid one-size-fits-all training method, Dax designs each program around the individual — their goals, injury history, lifestyle demands, and current capacity.

His sessions draw from a diverse toolkit including strength training, mobility work, breathing strategies, coordination drills, and recovery principles — integrated thoughtfully to help clients move and feel better both inside and outside the gym. This multi-layered approach reflects years of collaboration with physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and other healthcare professionals, giving Dax a clinically informed perspective that goes well beyond what most personal trainers can offer.

Clients working with Dax can expect honest communication, a genuinely individualized program, and a coach who is as invested in their long-term wellbeing as they are in their short-term results.
